Supplier Verification
Confirm a supplier exists, operates, and can deliver before you commit.
Who this is for
You've found a supplier in Lagos — through a referral, a trade directory, or your own search. Before you place a purchase order, transfer a deposit, or sign a supply agreement, you want independent confirmation that they are who they say they are.
Supplier verification is used by foreign businesses sourcing manufactured goods, raw materials, or agricultural products from Lagos; diaspora entrepreneurs building supply chains; and Nigerian companies evaluating Lagos-based subcontractors.
What's included
Physical premises confirmed at registered address
Operational capacity observed and documented
CAC registration and tax compliance documents reviewed
Reference checks with up to 3 named counterparties
Photo and video evidence of site and production
Structured report delivered within 5 business days
What the report contains
The delivered report is a structured PDF carrying the Vicinage engagement reference, inspector identity and credentials, and PM certification. It includes:
- Arrival and departure photos geotagged to the site address
- Timestamped photographic evidence of premises, signage, equipment, and production
- Inspector observations on each scope item, structured by checklist
- Document review summary (CAC certificate, tax clearance, relevant licenses)
- Inspector narrative notes on anything outside the checklist scope
- PM certification statement and review date
- Unique cryptographic hash for post-delivery verification
Frequently asked
What if the supplier refuses access to the inspector?
Refusal of access is itself a finding and will be documented in the report. We will photograph the exterior, confirm or deny the address, and record the interaction. You will receive the report with this noted.
Can I specify exactly what the inspector should verify?
Yes. During the intake form you describe the specific aspects you need confirmed — production capacity, machinery type, license status, or anything else. The inspector's checklist is tailored to your scope.
Is the report usable as evidence in a commercial dispute?
The report is designed to be defensible: timestamped photos with GPS coordinates, inspector identity and credentials, PM certification, and a cryptographic hash for verification. Whether it meets evidentiary standards in a specific jurisdiction is a legal question for your counsel.
How long does it take?
The SLA is 5 business days from scope confirmation. For urgent cases, contact us — expedited visits are available at a premium.
What currency can I pay in?
USD via international card (Stripe) or NGN via bank transfer or local card (Paystack). Both payment options are shown at checkout.
