About Vicinage
An independent inspection marketplace for Nigeria, open to clients here and worldwide.
Why Vicinage exists
Nigeria rewards presence. Most high-value transactions, like supplier contracts, property purchases, and partnership agreements, hinge on information that only exists on the ground: whether a factory actually runs, whether a property is in the condition described, whether a contractor is making real progress.
For someone in Toronto managing a building project back home, a company in Shenzhen sourcing from Nigeria, or someone in Lagos checking a supplier two states away, that ground truth is hard to get reliably. WhatsApp updates are unstructured. Referrals are conflicted. Travelling in costs money and time.
Vicinage exists to provide that ground truth systematically: vetted independent inspectors, a documented methodology, geotagged and timestamped evidence, and a structured report you review and accept. Not concierge. Not relationship management. Facts you can act on, delivered within an agreed timeframe.
Geography
Vicinage works nationwide, wherever we have an active inspector. Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt are established hubs, and the network keeps expanding into more states as demand grows. You can check coverage for your state when you book.
Methodology
Every engagement follows a published, repeatable process. Inspectors operate from structured checklists. Reports follow a fixed template. Evidence is collected in a standardized way. The inspector signs a declaration, and you review and accept the report. The output is designed to be a useful factual record in a commercial dispute, not just informative.
